The honest read: MantisNMS now covers network-config backup & change management (SSH-managed switches/routers/firewalls plus cloud-managed Meraki, with versioning, diffs, compliance rules and drift alerts) — closing the classic Auvik/SolarWinds gap. The pure-plays still lead on auto-generated topology maps and the deepest traffic forensics. Where MantisNMS wins is deployment and terms — fully cloud-hosted, with no Windows server to run and patch (PRTG and SolarWinds' self-hosted editions run on Windows servers), billed monthly with no annual contract — and consolidation: it's the only option here that also brings vulnerability management and RMM under one platform, one bill, and one dashboard. Pricing is per sensor and comparable to PRTG's, and you monitor only the interfaces that matter.

Vulnerability Management: What's Included

Mantis360 is priced for breadth: one per-asset price covers OT/ICS detection, attack-surface posture and identity/AD checks, on one platform with MantisRMM and MantisNMS. Tenable, Qualys and Rapid7 sell some of these as separate, quote-only products that aren't priced here, so no price is shown for them below. Tenable publishes a base list price of about $3,700 a year for 100 assets (as of October 2026), which is lower than Mantis360's; see the Tenable comparison.

Network Monitoring (NMS) Pricing

Annual cost for roughly 500 sensors (~50 devices). Vendors meter differently — sensors, network devices, or nodes — so only published list rates are shown; vendors that don't publish are marked quote-only. MantisNMS lets you monitor only the interfaces that matter, so you pay for fewer sensors than per-port tools.

Pricing methodology: Competitor figures are list prices from each vendor's own public pricing page, as of October 2026: Paessler PRTG, NinjaOne (starting rate) and Tenable. Vendors that don't publish a price (Qualys, Rapid7, Auvik, ConnectWise, Datto) are marked quote-only, and we show no figure for Atera or SolarWinds. Add-on modules that Mantis360 includes (identity/AD, attack surface, full OT) are quote-only at several vendors and are not priced in, so VM figures are base prices. Actual quotes vary and prices change. MantisOps pricing is public and self-serve.

The Bottom Line

Where MantisOps wins outright, where the competition leads, and when to use each.

Mantis360 vs Tenable Vulnerability Management

Breadth on one platform

Tenable is the gold standard for vulnerability discovery and VPR prioritization, and it marks findings Fixed automatically on the next authenticated or agent scan. Its base list price is lower than Mantis360's (about $3,700 a year for 100 assets, per Tenable's own pricing page as of October 2026), while identity exposure, attack-surface management, full OT Security and patch management are separate, quote-only products. Mantis360 includes OT/ICS detection, identity/AD exposure and attack-surface checks, and runs on one cloud platform with MantisRMM and MantisNMS — one agent, one console, one bill, billed monthly in 50-asset packs.

Mantis360 vs Qualys VMDR

One platform vs. separate apps

Qualys offers integrated patching (separately licensed), FedRAMP-authorized deployments, PCI ASV scanning and a broad CIS/STIG policy library; OT coverage (VMDR OT) and identity (ETM Identity) are separate apps or add-ons. Some reviewers report a learning curve for new users. Mantis360 includes OT/ICS detection and identity/AD exposure, runs on one platform with MantisRMM and MantisNMS, and surfaces risk-ranked findings immediately with exploit-likelihood filtering.

Mantis360 vs Rapid7 InsightVM

Infrastructure, price floor and platform reach

InsightVM has excellent UX and DevOps integration, but it isn't fully cloud-based: you install, size and maintain your own on-premises Security Console (with its own database) alongside its scan engines. Rapid7 now sells it as part of Exposure Command by quote and does not publish a price. Mantis360 is cloud-delivered with no server to run and starts at a single 50-asset pack, adds ICS/OT detection that InsightVM lacks, and includes identity/AD exposure scanning.

MantisRMM vs NinjaOne

Platform breadth and pricing model

NinjaOne has a larger ecosystem and stronger PSA integrations, and added native vulnerability management in 2026. Its per-device pricing (published from $3.75 per device per month at 50 or fewer endpoints) grows with your fleet. MantisRMM supports Linux on amd64 and arm64 and macOS on Intel and Apple Silicon at $2/agent/month, and shares one agent and console with Mantis360's full vulnerability management.

MantisRMM vs Atera

VM integration vs. PSA maturity

Atera's per-technician model is smart for scaling device counts without cost increase, and it ships an integrated PSA and help desk. MantisRMM pairs natively with Mantis360 for vulnerability management — Atera relies on a Vicarius integration for full vulnerability management.

MantisNMS vs Paessler PRTG

Fully cloud-hosted, monthly terms

PRTG is the per-sensor benchmark. Its core server runs on Windows and is primarily self-hosted, it's billed annually, and each monitored port uses a sensor license. MantisNMS is fully cloud-hosted with no Windows server to run and patch, bills monthly with no annual contract, and brings vulnerability management and RMM onto the same platform and bill — with comparable per-sensor pricing, about 4–12% below PRTG's published list prices at each tier (as of October 2026), and you monitor only the interfaces that matter.

MantisNMS vs Auvik & SolarWinds

Where the pure-plays lead — and don't

MantisNMS now matches the pure-plays on config backup & change management (versioning, diffs, compliance, drift alerts — over SSH and the Meraki cloud API); Auvik and SolarWinds still go deeper on auto-generated topology maps for network-heavy shops. But Auvik does not publish its pricing, and SolarWinds' self-hosted platform needs dedicated Windows Server and SQL Server infrastructure (its SaaS edition is a separate product). MantisNMS gives you 50+ sensor types, NetFlow analytics, config backup, and public per-sensor pricing billed monthly — consolidated with Mantis360 and MantisRMM.

When NOT to choose MantisOps

Be honest about trade-offs

If you need deep PSA integration (tickets, billing, SLAs), a large third-party integration marketplace, or a dedicated support team with SLAs, NinjaOne or ConnectWise are better fits. For enterprise-scale compliance with regulatory reporting, Tenable or Qualys have deeper certification breadth. For deep auto-generated network topology mapping, Auvik or SolarWinds go further.
